We help low income families, in BC, with food baskets, school supplies and more...
We help the needy countries with food and children education. We focus mainly to the needs of Yemen and the orphanage "Arkam Center" in Kenya. Thank you to the sponsors and our team "volunteers" helping out to make these projects possible.
The involvement of the youth to our community projects is the key and the core of our organization. They contribute, learn, and serve our community.
We set up a Ramadan Basket for low-income families in the Greater Vancouver area, and we had sponsors who helped us sponsor families by providing dates and gift cards for their essential Ramadan purchases. This year, we were able to assist almost 48 households. We appreciate our donors and volunteers.
The DEEN Youth Project invited the community for a BBQ party during Eid Al Adha celebration. We supported our local businesses that have been selling their products. All the profit have been dedicated to the orphanage and the organization expenses.
Once again we organized a school supplies drive, in support of Mom2Mom, and The Harvest Project. All the supplies we got from donations put in brand new backpacks, for low income families.
Eid Al-Adha is an important celebration to all Muslims, and all Muslims should celebrate. Unfortunately not all families can afford this pleasure. Which is why we set donations to help those families enjoy their day(s). We got enough donations to help 20+ families get Udhyah (meat for Eid).
Orphanages in Kenya don't have the luxuries of much things, so here at The DEEN Youth Project we decided to sponsor their Udhiya meal. We sent money their way and luckily it was enough for all of them to have a wonderful 3 day Eid meal, and more.
Along with a meal we raised more than enough donations to provide to them new clothing, and toys. We couldn't have done any of this without the help and support of some wonderful volunteers, so to return their gratitude, we handed out lovely gifts to show how thankful we were and are to them.
As you know, we organized Ramadan Basket for low income families around main land Vancouver, we had amazing sponsors that helped us sponsor families with full baskets and for Eid clothes and gift-cards along with the basic needs of Ramadhan. We were able to help over 40 families this year. Our volunteers all contributed in many ways. Some went shopping, some donated, some organized, and some calculated. The outcome was all worth it. Our baskets included rice, flour, oil, pasta, salt, and any other non-perishable item.
Ramadan is a time of fasting. Muslims around the globe celebrate, but what is a true Ramadan without a wonderful dinner after we break our fast? Our volunteers in Vancouver& Yemen all contributed in many ways. Our Amazing youth Volunteer (Nour A.) has taken the task to fundraise for Yemen and with the help if the Yemeni Society we were able to collect enough to feed more than 20 families in Yemen.
